Finance and Commerce, regarding the General Aviation industry
state and forecasts for financing and orders. InterFlight Consulting has
tracked the industry through several cycles and predicts the current one
to have more of a “restructuring” effect in how aircraft are ordered and
financed. The lowest priced aircraft within each segment represent the
most sensitive sector to the economic recession and access to finance.
Single engine pistons, light-mid jets for instance, will see the strongest
hit in new and existing order cancellations. The turboprop sector remains
strong and will be neutral or even show a slight increase; depending on
